The Institute for Social Innovation (ISI)
ISI supports the creation of social capital by strengthening the capacity of individuals and organizations to address societal problems. Housed in Fielding’s School of Human and Organization Development (HOD), ISI is organized into three program areas: frontiers in research, leadership for change, and organizational development. ISI supports projects that exemplify the following principles: knowledge that blends multidisciplinary theory and professional practice, action that leads to sustaining positive social change, and collaboration that builds more effective organizations. For individuals, we also offer a wide array of graduate and lifelong learning educational programs for academic and continuing educational credits. For organizations, we create custom programs attuned to each client’s particular needs. Employees have the opportunity to integrate workplace challenges with outcome-driven learning through a collaborative peer learning process. Our blended delivery model (online, teleconference, face-to-face), is a scaleable solution for professional development across location, time, and numbers of employees. For more information on both our educational and custom programs, please contact Dr. Katrina Rogers, Director of the Institute for Social Innovation at krogers@fielding.edu or (805) 898-2924.
